The face of Steve Jobs is painted on a wall in Calais, France where refugees sleep in tents outside. These images and many more are by Banksy, a graffiti artist who makes a visual impact by displaying cultural issues on common city walls in major cities around the globe. Banksy’s work references anti-war, anti-consumer, anti-fascist, anti-imperialist, anti-authoritarian or anarchist issues in a serious and sometimes humorous manor. For example, he sprayed two young boys climbing up to grab a can of paint out of an anti-graffiti plaque on a concrete wall in NYC. This artist deals with extremely serious and sometimes location specific issues, like anti-semitism in France, and confronts passerbys with the reality of those problems. Banksy uses the power of images in a public space where any pedestrian  becomes exposed to the conversation of institutional injustices.
